Sprint and Dish Network Reach Deal to deliver Home Internet

DISH CEO Charlie Ergen

Back in April 2013 Dish Network offered up a $25.5 Billion bid to buy out Sprint that they thought was so wrapped up it even had a site setupĀ www.completedishsolution.com (not up anymore, obviously!). Ultimately the deal fell through but the two have now worked out a deal to deliver home internet via a fixed wireless technology. Really this is just a repackaging of Clearwire’s wireless spectrum, which was bought out by Sprint back in July 2013.

The technology will ultimately aim to compete with growing satellite internet options in rural America where inadequate high speed options are the norm.
